my job just changed to a four-tens work week. normally this would be a pretty cool thing for most jobs.....BUT.....
for my job, it's unfreakinbelievably sizick out of control badass.
check it out:
my normal work day goes from 8-5 where the system automatically takes out an hour for a break, so i would get paid for 8 hours/day 5 days/week. i go to work at 8 and usually go get breakfast after chatting with some of my buddies that work in the office for about an hour. then i go do a couple of jobs, (a job means im actually doing some work for about 15 minutes). i go home for lunch and playing on the computer and chatting with my friends that are actually working in their offices. then i go do a couple more jobs and i'm usually home no later than 3. i'm technically on call for the whole 8-5 time but they pretty much close down our incoming work at about 3ish.
now they've changed us to 4x10 schedule. now my normal work day goes from 7:30-6 with 30 minutes subtracted for a break, so i would get paid for 10 hours/day 4 days/week. everything else that i just typed up above stays exactly the same. i still "work" from 8-3ish, but now i only do it 4 times/week rather than 5...and still get paid the same.
as an added bonus, my days off are always back to back...this means that i have 3 and 4 day weekends all over the schedule. some week ill have fri/sat/(closed on sun) as my days off. then some weeks ill have fri/sat/sun/mon, sat/sun/mon/tue, i guess its even possible to have fri/sat/sun/mon/tues...the last two days of one wek and the first two days of the next week, giving a 5 day weekend.
i'm pretty much locked into this job now. as if it wasn't already easy enough. how could i ever go work any place else now?
company car for commuting to and from work, gas card, then i drive around for about 4 hours, work for about 2 hours, and get paid for 10 hours.
i mean, im sure i could be putting my genious to such better use and be making more money, but come on, is it really worth it? May 10 Ryan Reynolds: Captain LuckyWell, looks like i'm back on the singles scene now that scarlett johannson is getting married to ryan reynolds. i was considering myself taken since i knew that at any moment her and i could meet and i would have to make myself available. that sneaky bastard, van wilder, strikes again.
One of these things is not like the other.... April 25 My DVD Collectionok, so i just sold my entire dvd collection. can you believe it? 260 awesome movies. i posted it on craigslist and got a response back right away. the guy sounded almost too eager to get them. i'm always a little worried about selling stuff online. once i got burned by somebody that "bought" a computer from me. anyways, the guy ended up being everything he represented himself as. him and his wife are disabled. it's almost summer time where you pretty have no choice to go outside even if you wanted to. and they love movies. i'm actually really glad that these guys got this collection. i'm a big movie fan, and i loved my collection. i'm happy to know that they will be put to good use and that they will also bring enjoyment to others. that is much better than them just sitting on my shelf collecting dust. plus, i got enough money to go get the camera that i want. hopefully i'll get off my ass and put that to good use. i'm sure i will. anyways, i'm off to watch LOST.
